Radley Records.
The Porkers have been around forever, and just won’t give up.
Forming in Newcastle Australia in pre-internet times, they’ve been called a Ska band, they’ve also been called ‘Not really a ska band’, and whilst on the U.S. leg of the Vans Warped Tour in 1999, Rolling Stone magazine said they “sounded like a cross between UB40 and The Blasters”. Whatever it is, they create a huge racket and have a worldwide cult following.
Calm Down Karen is 1 minute 45 seconds of pure punk rock, that could be described as a bit “Ramonal” as it portrays the outspoken yet obtuse members of modern society that frequent our urban shopping centres and parents & citizen meetings.
